Airline operators will no doubt witness an ease in the traffic congestion through increased airline capacity from the recent launching of Medview airlines to commence operations at MMA2, Ikeja Lagos.

Speaking on this development, the Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA), Dr Harold Demuren urged  the management of the airline to live up to the expectations of the travelling public and the Airline Operator Licence(AOC) issued to them for operations.

The Oba of Lagos, His Royal Highness, Kabiyesi Rilwan Akiolu, Olowo Eko 1, who graced the occasion with his retinue of High Chiefs made the official ''cutting of the tape'' to signify the commencement of Med-view domestic operations.

Medview Airlines were issued an Airline Operator Licence(AOC) after 18 months of rigorous screening and documentations coupled with 50 hours 45 minutes of test flights.

Dr Demuren who further said the coming into the domestic market was a leap forward for the industry, enjoined all stakeholders including the agencies to ensure safe skies in the country, adding that:''The challenge we face now is to ensure zero accident and zero fatality''.
